At least 48 persons with disabilities have graduated from the Federal Government’s Digital Bridge Institute after completing a nine-month training programme.

President and the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute, David Daser, described the programme as life-changing, emphasising its role in bridging the gap for persons with disabilities in the tech industry.

The initiative, according to him, is designed to equip persons with disabilities with in-demand skills, and enhance their access to economic opportunities in Nigeria’s growing digital sector.

Daser said by providing persons with disabilities with industry-recognized certifications and ICT skills, this initiative contributes to the government’s vision of a digitally skilled workforce that drives national development,”.

Daser noted that idge Academy tailored the curriculum to meet the unique needs of PWDs, ensuring they received specialised support.

He added that the federal government hopes the training will enable graduates to secure jobs or start business
