18, MY FAVORITE NUMBER… EH? – DAY 18

Hi, good afternoon, people.

How are you all doing?

How was your week?

If you don’t mind sharing, comment below how your week went, what you did or did not do, and how it was for you in general. I’ll check your comments.

P.S: I love comments. 😉

So, I am in a good mood. Let me start by telling you how my week went.

This week was quite challenging since I have to meet up with deadlines for the script coupled with trying to finish up the script.

I feel like I channeled so much of my time and energy on this script.

And because the theme of the story I am writing is centered on ‘MENTAL HEALTH,’ I had to do some research, watch some videos, read some articles, and learn one or two things.

You know when you start something new for the first time, it might take a while for you to come around, but with time, you will get what you want if you’re persistent and intentional about it.

Down to what put me in a great mood, I finally completed the script.

Yay!!!

I feel so energized with so much joy.

But let’s not get too excited.

I might have finished writing the script, which is one of the biggest steps to finalizing your script/screenplay.

I still have a long way to go with finalizing the whole thing.

If you’re an author, you can relate to this a lot.

After writing the book and completing it, time to relax is far ahead, as you have to tackle the major block to finalizing your work.

EDITING

Yes, editing.

This is another huge step to finalizing your work.

Now, you can go various ways in doing this.

One is by printing out the work on paper and reading it as a reader.

This way, you can point out some mistakes your eyes must have missed while writing and get an evaluation of your performance.

After this self-editing, you work on it.

The other way is to send it out to trusted readers [family, friends, co-workers, a fellow writer, etc.] for them to read and send back with detailed feedback.

Make sure you send it to someone who wouldn’t disrespect you and your work by exploiting it. That can be really painful if anyone does that to something you worked hard for.

Finally, another way is to send it to the producer, creative director, or anyone who's working on the production of the script to the screen with you and get their insight on it.

This last part I shared will help you as the writer better understand their vision for the project so that you all can sync.

I will be applying all three methods and hope it turns out into something beautiful as I imagined.

Guys, I might be exhausted and stressed out by all these processes, but at the end of the day, it’s worth the stress.

I am not sure if I mentioned that it’s a trial script project I am writing.

I hope the owner of the script loves it so it can be produced into a movie.

Now, that will be so cool.

Thank you once again for sticking through it all.

I hope you enjoyed reading through this post as much as I enjoyed writing it for you.

This is like a letter from me to my online friends and family.

Might start a series on that. Just reflecting on my thoughts, what I’m up to, and a few sneak peeks into my personal life aside from my writing.

Comment below if you’d like me to start something like that.

I’ll be in the comments reading from you too.

I’ll never run out of ‘thank yous.’

Have a lovely day, my beloved, and stick around to learn of the story I have in mind for this year’s Valentine.

Ciao 😊
