Gender-based violence, oh how it pains
The hurt and sorrow it always remains
The scars it leaves, both physical and mental
A cruel act, so vile and fundamental
It happens every day, in every corner of the world
From the young to the old, no one is spared or hurled
It takes many forms, from physical to emotional
Leaving victims feeling broken and so vulnerable
We need to speak up, we need to take a stand
To end this injustice, to lend a helping hand
Let's educate, let's empower, let's raise our voice
To make a difference, to give victims a choice
Gender-based violence, it must come to an end
Let's fight for equality, for every woman and man
Together we can make a change, we can make it right
Let's stand up against violence, with all our might.
