This work is a wall hanging sculpture installation, carefully assembled to create visual aesthetics. This piece is made from scrapped flexible wood neatly knotted in cyclic motions. Circles overlap and bonds with other circles in an unusual repetition to create an almost symmetric balance. The symmetric arrangement in the work is further distorted by the two noticeable expressions in wood which sits on top of the whole work to make itself the central point of the work. From this arrangement at the top, the flowing circles of knotted forms drops and drapes to the flow to lead the eyes to another point of agreement between the two sides of the work. The work has the emblematic monochromatic colour, with a little touch of dark tones intently created at the top to further draw attention. The textual appearance of the work is has both rough and smooth simulation, while lines move in vertical and horizontal dimensions.
The general appearance of the work shows that forms are arranged in proportional considerations with varied movements to direct the eyes when in contact with the work.
The idea behind the work, "Connection" is a story of two different individuals, clothes in related apparels in a public outing. The top most part of the work shows different forms that agreed to become one as they flow further away from each other. This implies that as one grow older, the need for a connection and relationship with another becomes necessary. The works speaks against the social dearth which promotes individualism against togetherness. The work therefore is a metaphor that submits that healthy union in every spheres of life is best when compared with separatist tendencies.
