According to Al Jazeera and BBC News as reported on Yahoo, at least 30 to 43 people have been killed in renewed violence in Nigeria鈥檚 central Plateau State. This intercommunal violence, occurring between Muslim herders and Christian farming communities, has been a persistent issue in the region. Despite a 24-hour curfew imposed in Plateau鈥檚 Mangu local district, attacks continued, with schools, places of worship, and homes being burned and ransacked. The violence, which is said to have been sparked by a row over cattle, also led to the destruction of about 100 houses in one area of Mangu town, and several mosques and churches were destroyed.
