MY STOLLEN COUNTRY

Have you seen my country Nigeria?
Dressed in green and white regalia
Wearing the mask of ethnicity
Were people go to school
But cannot afford a stew.

Have you seen my country Nigeria?
Whose children had ran to future
In search of a greener pasture to feed
Because the vultures had to feed
From the food meant to feed the flock.

Have you seen my country Nigeria?
Decorated in white gown and stitched cap
Working painful with a rusty rod
Where the youths are incompetent
Because they are too young to compete.

Have you seen my country Nigeria?
Kitted in corruption and bigotry
With occupied stomach of starch and fat
Where the electorates are deprecated
By the man that offers rice and salt.

I have seen my county Nigeria.
Not the father land we fought for
But a crippled giant in deep slumber
Castrated by parasites that plunders
On a sojourn to a land of uncertainty....we pray you find a solace there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, 🇳🇬, my stollen COUNTRY.
