Chapter 2

Few hours earlier...

James poured himself a glass of water from the bottle, drinking the whole thing. He glanced at his wife, Sarah.

" Thank you for the meal," he says.

" You are welcome... But please don't tell me you are still considering going to see that stranger," she replied.

" He could be a member of the church and want some counseling, I can't just ignore that." He countered standing up from the dining table, grabbing his black suit.

" At this hour? Seriously, you need to come down with this whole church thing. I think it's getting inside your head."

" What's that supposed to mean?"

" It means, you need to bring yourself back to reality! James! No one cares about God, you, or the church in this town! And am sick of having to see you spend a lot of your time on weekdays, or a Sunday preparing a sermon that no one is ever going to listen too." Sarah fired back at him.

At this rate she was frustrated of watching her husband keep trying to fix something that is already broken.

" You know am right... You need to quit."

James looked at his wife and just sighs. Deep down he knew she was right but...

" Nevertheless not my will, but him that sent me. I can't quit," he informed her.

She was about to say something, when the door burst open and his daughter; Eliza. A brown haired girl in a blue gown, barge in followed by her boyfriend.

" Hey! Wait up!" He held her by the hand stopping her from going upstairs.

" What!" She let go from him.

" Okay, young lady. You can't just barge into this house like that. Where are you coming from anyway?" James questioned.

" No offense Dad, but none of your business," Eliza answered and pointed at the young man beside her." And can you tell him to leave this house, I don't want to talk to him."

" Saviour, what are you doing here?" Her mom joined in the conversation, avoiding the fact that her daughter just ignored what the father ask rudely.

The tall light skinned, top black hair guy spoke. " she's upset I joined the police force, I wish she can understand my reasons but she doesn't."

" You are going to die there freak! You are not fit to be a cop!" Eliza cut in folding her arms.

" Look, we'll sort this out tomorrow. Saviour go home it's getting late, Eliza to your room now!" She ordered.

Both responded to her respectively.

She turned to face her husband who was staring as the whole thing unfold.

" What?"

" Seriously?! You are going to ignore what your daughter just did."

She shrugged, " am sure she didn't mean it."

He raised an eyebrow. " Wow! Aside that, she came into this house late, brought a boy along. Yeah, sure. Let's ignore all that." He put on his suit and grabbed his car key. " I can't handle this right now, am late."

He left her before she could run her mouth again...

                      *******

Abigail's eyes flung open.

She could not recognize where she was. Everything was all blurring, she glanced at herself. She was still in the same outfit or that's what her eyes told her. She dragged herself up to her feet, and noticed her hands were covered in a red color or something. She cared less and rubbed her eyes, in order to see clearly.

She was in a shopping mall. The place was silent like a cementary. She tries to walk but there was a body in front of her, one she didn't know was there in the first place. She crossed it and began to walk, but every part of the area she passed, there were bodies of different people.

" What's... how... Am I... Here?" She muttered.

She got to the counter. The cashier's head was on the table completely passed out. She tapped him repeatedly but no response. She saw a small mirror at the side of the table and picked it up, she stares at herself. Her hair was a mess, face covered with the same red stuff and all bruised up.

" What happened to me," she wonders.

The mirror cracks in her grip, and blood began to pour out of the broken shards and write out a word.

SLEEP!...

Everything went black immediately.

                       *****

Her eyes opened again.

But this time she was in her room, but standing this time around and her clothes were different; a pink shirt and a pair of blue jeans, her hair well done, and she was putting on a pair of black boots.

" Hey Abby!! We are leaving soon!" A voice called from downstairs.

I recognize that voice...

She rushed down to the living room. Her mom and brother Mark, stood there waiting for her on the couch. They took note of her presence and stood up.

" Hey sis."

" There's my beautiful baby!" Her mother exclaimed.

" Mom is that you..." She trailed off walking up to her. She touched her on the face, hands, before drawing her in for a hug. " You are real! You are here."...
