Healed.
I thought,
It was one large wound,
Then the pain was bearable.
On a closer look,
It wasn't just one large wound,
It was several tiny stabs to the heart,
And one big hit that crushed it.
Now the pain is unbearable.
How can I put back
These broken pieces together?
It will take me years, maybe a lifetime.
So I sat there,
In the pool of my own blood,
With eyes red and swollen,
I began to rebuild.
Confused at first,
Where exactly do I start?
The broken pieces of trust,
Or the painful little pieces betrayals.
Which one?!
I was so confused,
I didn't know I had opened the door,
Or that someone had walked in.
And the person is helping me rebuild.
One hand on the work,
Another supporting me.
While I lean on him all the way,
He rebuilt my heart.
When I was tired
And I wanted to give up,
I felt his presence.
I still do.
God kept me,
God healed me,
He was the one all along.
