To attain Greatness we must conquer various challenges
In the womb, my dreams took flight,
But crushed they were, by judging sight.
The nurses' gaze, uncertain, questioned,
What future lay in this small impression?
As I grew, to school I went,
My dreams still alive, fervent, unbent.
But teachers scoffed, said they're too grand,
Unattainable dreams, slipping from my hand.
Society's standards, a cruel disguise,
For they believed dreams had gendered ties,
Society's voice echoed loud and clear,
"Women with dreams? Oh, have no fear.
For norms decree, they cannot soar,
Bound by chains forevermore."
Yet, I refused to let them define,
The limits of my dreams, or undermine,
The fire within, the strength I possess,
A spirit resolute, I must confess.
Mocked and shamed, by kin far and near,
Their lack of faith, my greatest fear,
But I'll rise above, prove them wrong,
In the face of doubt, I'll stay strong
Now an adult, I faced parental disdain,
A disappointment, they claimed, an endless pain.
Shame was bestowed upon my name,
But deep inside, my dreams aflame.
For each crushing blow, I found the power,
To rise again, to bloom like a flower.
My dreams resilient, they refused to die,
With every setback, they learned to fly.
