PRAYER THE CURE FOR AFFLICTION

*TEXT: JAMES.5:13(KJV) - Is any among you AFFLICTED ? Let him PRAY.Is any merry ? Let him sing psalms.
*SERMONNOTE:" The Cure of AFFLICTION is prayer".
*PRAYER is a spiritual prescription for the cure of Affliction.
*WHAT IS PRAYER?.
*PRAYER is simply a communication between a mortal being with God on the basis of his word to perform according to his will.
*WHAT IS AFFLICTION?
*AFFLICTION is a condition of suffering,pains,distress and calamity imposed by the devil.
*PRAYER AS A CURE OF affliction simply MEANS - declaring the will of God's word over the condition of suffering,pains ,distress to overturn what is imposed by the devil to what is written concerning you by God.
*WHY PRAYER IS NECESSARY TO OVERCOME AFFLICTION.
1)PRAYER is God's prescription to overcome AFFLICTION. (James.5:13).
2)Prayer is commanded by God. - Luke.18:1.
3)Prayer makes tremendous power available to subdue the devices of the enemy. - (James.5:16,Psalm.66:3).
4)Prayer supplies stamina to the believer to contend for his right that may be tampered by the devil. - (EPH.612-13).
HOW TO BREAK OUT FROM AFFLICTION.
1)Surrender to God - "When you receive the life of God you are already declared an overcomer over the adversary by the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary". -
1John.5:4-5 - And whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:and this is the victory that over cometh the world,even our faith.Vs.5 - Who is he that overcometh the world,but he that believeth that Jesus is the son of God.
2).Locate the God's word - " The word of God reveals the Mind of God ".The will of God for your life is a good thought to give you and expected end so anything contrary to the word of God is from the devil;You use the word of God to conquer it.". When you know what is written concerning you in the word of God ;You can't be written off.(Jeremiah 29:11, Matt.4:4).
Accept Jesus today.
