In a remarkable display of legislative activity, Hon. AMB. Daniel Asama Ago, the Deputy House Committee Chairman on Tourism and Member representing Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, has introduced a third bill within a single week at the National Assembly. On February 19, 2025, he moved the "Federal University of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Jos (Establishment) Bill, 2025 (HB. 2089)," which has successfully passed its First Reading.
This new bill aims to establish a specialized university dedicated to advancing knowledge and skills in the field of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology. If fully passed and assented to, the university will not only enhance educational opportunities but also contribute significantly to research and innovation in the healthcare sector.
Hon.
