A... FALL...FROM...GRACE..
As an adult I thought all my words held the final say,
And even though it seemed like I could be wrong I felt like I was to judge.
People gasped at what seemed to be 'a perfect life'...
Pride settled for a spin as we danced and sang the days away.
The day it all fell into place,
pain pierced my chest as my words had now placed its curse,
'Obedience is better than sacrifice' they said,
My decisions had two timed me and as I looked at the mirror...
I saw black,
This pretty frame was now filled with disdain,
For everything there is a price,
Now as a lone sheep I must cling back for mercy...
These branches are now weakened with consequences.
Discernment, an antidote to these broken wings,
I thought I could fly.
I thought I could try.
Now I need to thrive.
So I said; 'here I am Lord? emm I admit that I lost guard...
The building I built on my own has fallen!"
Tears sliding down like an endless river.
'I have no pilot now. I can't take flight. I... have... fallen... from grace'.
He wiped the river dry.
In astonishment I looked at his silky glowing face.
He chuckled. 'Now let's fly but together this time, okay?".
In his wings I found refuge.
