If you haven't checked out the schedule for this week in Daytona Beach, you’re missing out. We’ve got a solid mix of live music, a classic car show, and a couple of family-friendly events that actually make you want to leave the house.

First up, Tuesday night at the Daytona Beach Bandshell on Ocean Avenue. They’re doing their free summer concert series from 7 to 9 PM. This week it’s the Dave Matthews Tribute band, which sounds cheesy but the crowd is always good energy. Bring a chair or a blanket and grab some food from the vendors. It gets busy so I’d park over by the Peabody Auditorium lot and walk the boardwalk.

Wednesday afternoon, check out the Daytona Flea & Farmers Market on Ridgewood Avenue. They’re doing a special midweek vendor event with local honey, fresh produce, and a few antique dealers. It’s not huge, but it’s a good way to support small growers. I go for the kettle corn and the guy who sells mangoes from his truck.

Thursday is the big one for car people. The monthly Daytona Beach Thursday Night Cruise-In at the Daytona International Speedway parking lot off Williamson Boulevard. It starts at 5 PM and runs till 8. They’ll have hot rods, classics, and some custom bikes. It’s free to walk through, and they usually have a food truck or two. If you have a vintage ride, you can park in the show area.

Friday evening, head over to the Halifax River Yacht Club on South Beach Street. They’re hosting a sunset regatta watch party from 6 to 9. It’s open to the public for a small cover, and they have a cash bar. The view of the river is unbeatable that time of day. Bring a jacket because the breeze picks up.

Saturday morning, the Downtown Daytona Beach Farmers Market on Beach Street runs from 8 AM to noon. That’s your spot for fresh shrimp, local eggs, and the best breakfast burritos from a stand called “The Kitchen Sink.” It’s right in front of the post office. They also have live acoustic music.

For something different, the Daytona Beach Drive-In on 2A is showing a double feature Friday and Saturday nights. This week it’s a 90s classic paired with a recent action movie. Ticket is per car, so bring your crew and a cooler.

Sunday is the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Art Show on the boardwalk between Main Street and International Speedway Boulevard. It’s a juried show with painters, photographers, and jewelry makers. Runs 10 AM to 5 PM. Good for a slow walk and some window shopping.

Don’t forget to check out the pop-up taco stand on A1A near the Sunoco station on Thursday and Friday nights. It’s a white tent with no sign, but they do al pastor and horchata. Cash only.

Wait that taco stand is no joke, I drive out of my way for their al pastor. Also thanks for the heads up on the cruise-in, I keep meaning to go but always forget it's the same week as the market. Might actually make it this time lol
