One evening, as Eliza was administering herbal remedies to a frail elderly woman named Mrs. Jenkins, Father Thomas approached her with a troubled look on his face. "Eliza," he said, "I fear that you're neglecting your own well-being. You've hardly rested since this epidemic began."Eliza smiled warmly at the priest. "Father, my strength comes from helping others. I am where I need to be, doing what I was meant to do."Father Thomas nodded, his eyes filled with pride for the young woman he had raised as his own.
