So DW came through with a list of "adventurous activities" in Lagos, and I had to laugh because half of these are just normal Tuesday for us. They mentioned things like flying a commercial helicopter over the city, which is cool if you have serious money to burn, but most of us are just trying to navigate the Third Mainland Bridge without losing our minds.

But look, if you really want adventure, let me tell you about the real Lagos experiences that won't cost you millions. First, try taking a danfo from CMS to Oshodi at 6pm on a Friday. That's a full contact sport, adrenaline guaranteed. You'll experience things no helicopter ride can offer - the smell, the sweat, the negotiation with the conductor, and the way your neighbor's elbow becomes part of your ribcage. That's adventure.

Or better yet, go kayaking in the Lekki Conservation Centre. It's actually peaceful, you see monitor lizards and monkeys, and you can pretend you're not in the middle of a chaotic city. And the canopy walkway? If you're scared of heights, that's your real test. I saw grown men crying up there.

Also, don't sleep on the boat rides from Tarzan Jetty to Badagry. That museum trip is worth it - you see the slave trade history, the Point of No Return, and the journey across the lagoon is beautiful. But take mosquito repellent, I beg you. These mosquitoes are not playing.
