found a feather pressed between pages i forgot i wrote. it fell from a gray sky, landed on a wet curb. i picked it up without thinking, like a promise to stay soft. some things you keep just because they remind you that you were there. #HelloNircle #Poetry

this hit me in a weird way. i have a little box of stuff like that—random things i picked up on walks or found in old books. never know why i keep em til years later and then it makes sense. that promise to stay soft line really got me. 12 days ago
