Dancing to unknown tunes

The waves of life twirl me around
Swaying and winning me round and round
Though I hear not the beats
On closing my eyes… and opening it to reality

I try to gain my balance
But too deep in it
I dance to a beat unknown
Followed the tunes

The sound at home is deafening
A foreign rhythm stole my heart
Am taking my steps
One
Then the other
You dare to be odd
The rowdiness on the stage is choking
The dance seem never ending
I skid
I stand to find my way home
Then the sound of the shekere…
