Even long before I was born
I always admire her
In the bowels of the Moon
A dark little patch
Yet visible above so high
Her baby on her lap
Sleeping calmly
As she admire his beauty
Centuries have gone
And years have come
But I never saw her swoon
Nor slept
Men; they say have gone to the Moon
But neither have any seen her
Nor did she follow them
And sometimes I doubt
If they really went there:
