On the Altar

On God’s altar I offer my life
I refuse to make a flight
For to work in me His life
To the altar I must stay tight

Though it pains
Yet it pays
For much are the gains
Daily on the altar as I stay

Service offered to Christ
My life and devotion His to have
Till Him I see at last
Forever Jesus I’ll serve
