HELPLESS


To the helpless child

and the helpless helper

Tears for you

To the child that crawls in circles

A million years for you

To the helpless helper

who travels in search

of food and finding none

Who roams the desert

In search of water

And finding little

To the pauper and the weak one

Who cries silently in pain

And triggers tears

that never cease to flow.
