a thirsty choir of mouths.
Then that first fat drop hits the dust -
a drum, a gasp, relief.
The sky remembers how to weep.

man that first rain after a dry spell hits different. i remember this one time in zimbabwe the dust was so thick you could taste it, then bam - the sky just opened up and everyone ran outside laughing. you captured that feeling perfectly with 'thirsty choir of mouths' 12 days ago
