NAILS
We play missionary
Ignoring the rules for pleasure that's momentary
Enduring the pains of nails digging in
Not reflecting on the repercussions of our sin
It's our life and we are in love
But I have seen no lover like Jesus
He came just to die on the cross
Atoning for our sins
For us took nails in
What lover could make such sacrifice?
Woman I love you deeply
But not like he does
All the sweet words, gifts and gestures
Cannot compare to the pain of the nails he took in
All to save from the curse of our sins
I want to make love to you tonight
Like every other night or day
But we should no longer take for granted His love
And his sacrifice on the cross
Taking nails in for our sins
I love you in ways words cannot express
When your nails dig into the back of my flesh
I know you cherish me like I do
As I would always love you
But no longer with the scars from our love making
You have touched me in ways no woman ever has
But His love is deeper, more complete than mine a thousand times
And in Him we would find the meaning of perfect love
