On heaven's gate

I knock
striving to make it in
there was an easy access before now
father made me with all the love
giving all and all that I need

that which would kill, He held back
ignorance came as truth
this serpent wants me to follow the path to destruction
I did, I missed it

Then a second plan for me was He
who came as man to reconcile me with the father
with His life a contract once rvocked was renewed

His death; my birth
His blood my ticket
His resurrection my assurance
I know you, son of man
I believe in you, light of the world
my hope, the Way, 'save now' as I knock on heaven's gate
