SAY NO TO DRUG
This future is bright
Knowing quite alright that the sky is just my limit.
I struggle everyday to dream on a bed of sorrow
I gave myself all sort of hope
I came from a place of poor history
But I believe I have to go beyond the sky if I can dream
Struggling but my shine is mine
Even the brightest still come to hear of my wisdom
I'm a boy with a single trouser, old and rusty one at that but I call the attention of the silver spoons
When I speak they go into hidden.
I know I was blessed with a voice of knowledge
When the day drew near I will see them taken away by the wheel of four legs
While I have to walk under the scorching sun
Time and chance is unfair
I wish I was born with a spoon at least
But we were so poor that I become the ambassador of poverty
But still I have all the love I deserved
While my mind and thought wander the earth
I met my street brother
On the bridge of hope
Hoping that this is a new dawn
Even if I can't have a spoon
I will get a fork
At the beginning it felt like it
Because I could afford a ford and life
I now see the sun smile over me under the cold
But it was all a dream
I got into the wrong ride
I was lost in my thoughts of change until
I saw a huge wave
It was chalky and white .
I took a taste and I was lost
That was the end
And I was in my own wallow ness
I have taken the wrong turn
My future was bright but no more
The experience of a single night ended me in a dungeon
I only got back my reality in prison.
If only I had known
Omoluabi ma gba gbe ile
Remember your origin and never forget where you came from
Cos the dream of thousands days now shattered like a broken mirror.
Now i’m left with wonders of miracles
Cos I claim to rob with the criminal of yesterday just from a single sniff
My future became blurry.
