The Gun and The Bullet

Once upon a time, a sleek, silver pistol and a gleaming bullet lived together symbiotically. The gun provided a safe shelter for the bullet, while the bullet added weight and purpose to the gun.
However, over time, the gun began to feel that the bullet was taking more than it was giving. Filled with self-importance, the gun decided to expel the bullet with a powerful blast. The bullet, freed from its confinement, soared through the air until it found a new home within the thick hide of a majestic elephant.
The gun, now lighter and less formidable, was shocked to discover that its once-fearsome bark no longer caused others to tremble. Realizing its mistake, the gun searched desperately for the bullet, but it was nowhere to be found. The bullet, content and nourished within its new host, had no desire to return.
Moral: A healthy relationship is built on mutual respect and interdependence. Never undervalue or kick someone out because you feel he/she is offering you little or nothing.
And to you the undervalued or heartbroken, don't feel low self-esteem; work harder and faster to reach your success zone. When that fellow realizes and begins to trace you back, you might have been miles apart on the ladder of success. And that ladder will be so steep for him/her to climb and catch up with you.
