WHEN THE HEAVENS LEARNED ENVY
by SIMU
I will rain notions on you
ideas so tender they bend the spine of the universe.
I will rain motions on you
movements soft enough to disturb eternity.
I will rain emotions on you
a storm so full that even angels will search for shelter
from the truth of what I feel.
I will rain affection on you until the sun forgets its duty,
until dawn hesitates,
wondering if my warmth is brighter than its own.
I will rain expression on you until silence cracks,
until stillness shivers,
until words themselves kneel in jealousy at how I use them
to touch you.
I will rain poetry on you
until language becomes a wounded spectator,
furious at the way your beauty lets me twist meaning
into something even gods cannot imitate.
For I will adore you
in ways history has never recorded,
in ways myth has never dared,
in ways no immortal mind has ever imagined.
Romeo loved Juliet with the hunger of youth
but I?
I love you with the architecture of eternity.
I love you with the patience of mountains
and the devotion of oceans
that never once refused their tides.
If their love was a tragedy,
mine is a constellation
a map the universe will follow for generations
to remember what devotion looks like
when spoken by a soul that refuses to lie.
You are not my chapter.
You are my scripture.
You are not my moment.
You are my myth.
And I will rain myself upon you
until forever learns a new meaning
from the echo of your name.
A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.
