Potiskum Communities Celebrate Gov. Buni’s Dual Interventions in Health and Education, Hail His Bold Inclusive Leadership

The people of Potiskum LGA have poured out heartfelt appreciation to Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, for his latest dual interventions in both the education and healthcare sectors—a development many have described as a testament to his bold, inclusive leadership and people-centered governance.

Under the Governor’s Education Transformation Agenda, the College of Administration, Management, and Technology (CAMTECH), Potiskum, recently received a full set of modern office equipment, including executive chairs, tables, file cabinets, and bookshelves, to enhance administrative efficiency and create a more conducive academic environment.

The gesture complements earlier classroom renovations and new three-in-one student seats provided to the college, further strengthening the governor’s drive to make Yobe’s educational institutions models of excellence.

In a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Bala Jaji, on behalf of the Rector, Mallam Ibrahim Zarma Bomai, the management of Camtech expressed deep gratitude to the Governor for his “visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to education as the foundation of human progress.”

Similarly, the healthcare sector in Potiskum has witnessed a major leap following the governor’s directive to install two brand-new MARAPCO MP500 (Jubilee Series) generators at the Potiskum Specialist Hospital, guaranteeing uninterrupted electricity supply for all critical medical operations.

According to Engr. Sule Saidu Saru, Director of Mechanical Services at the Rural Electrification Board, the new 500 KVA generators deliver twice the power capacity of the old ones, providing reliable energy for life-saving medical activities.

“This upgrade goes beyond power supply—it is a statement of care, responsiveness, and leadership that listens to the people,” Engr. Saru affirmed.

Community leaders, traditional stakeholders, and residents across Potiskum have continued to celebrate the governor’s dual interventions, describing him as a leader who governs with empathy and purpose.

Speaking on behalf of the local communities, Alh. Umar Uba of Potiskum LGA, said:
