Buni’s Projects Redefine Potiskum’s Future— Hon. Salisu Muktari Says Governor’s Vision Is Turning Potential into Prosperity

The Executive Chairman of Potiskum Local Government Area, Hon. Salisu Muktari, has praised Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, for his visionary leadership and impactful infrastructure projects that are reshaping the economic landscape of Yobe State.

Hon. Muktari made the remarks while commending the governor for completing three flagship projects in Potiskum—the Ultra-Modern Trailer Park, the Sesame Processing Factory, and the Modern Commercial Markets—all of which are now awaiting grand commissioning.

Describing the projects as “transformative and people-driven,” the council chairman said they mark a turning point in Potiskum’s history, positioning the town as a growing hub for trade, logistics, and agro-industrial development in Northern Nigeria.

“Governor Buni has turned ideas into action and promises into progress. These projects are not just structures; they are lifelines that will open doors of opportunity for our people,” Hon. Muktari stated.

He noted that the newly completed Ultra-Modern Trailer Park will restore order to the town’s bustling transport sector, reduce road congestion, and promote safer and more efficient business operations.

On the Sesame Processing Factory, Hon. Muktari said the project reflects Governor Buni’s determination to move Yobe from raw produce to value-added industrialization.

“Our farmers can now earn more as their sesame is processed and exported from Potiskum. This is how a visionary leader creates wealth and jobs,” he added.

The chairman also highlighted the importance of the modern commercial markets, saying they will empower local traders, women entrepreneurs, and artisans to expand their businesses in a clean, safe, and structured environment.

“These projects prove that Governor Buni’s development agenda is about the people—their welfare, their livelihoods, and their future. Potiskum is moving from potential to prosperity under his watch,” Hon. Muktari said.

Residents and stakeholders across the state have continued to commend Governor Buni for steering Yobe toward inclusive development and sustainable economic growth through infrastructure, innovation, and partnership.

As preparations for the official commissioning intensify, Potiskum is set to emerge as a shining symbol of transformation—a community rising with purpose, driven by leadership that works for the people.
