The fleeting dream


A dream so beautiful I have
In a future so bright I hoped
My castles so high I built
A dream so rare ,of splendor

A great dream I thought
Full of power and riches
So close to me it is
But the closer I am the farther it is

My dream just like the mirage
Disappearing when I’m close to it
My dream like the shifting sand
Slipping whenever I try to grab it

A great dream I had
In a future so bright I hoped
My castles so high I built
Scattered in the ground was the ruins
