MY SHADOW
That moment my strenght turned into my weakness
Pains did reside in my heart crest
Yes, I felt oppressed
Celebrated yet envied other's success
It was like my life was in a mess
I remember those nights, I wept and cried
I felt nothing I did was working right
Even commiting suicide came to my mind
I saw friends left me but never came back
I got heartbroken like no other
I get easily frustrated and tired
Yes, that is who I am
At the slightest opportunity, you'd see tears brimming in my eyes
Yes, that's who I am
And yes today, I saw the shadows of my past life
It dawned on me that I once lived a life that wasn't mine
Oh! I felt pained and sad
But that was in the past and I'm alright
She's mine and she's me
She's the one with the positive visions and dreams
She's come with a different passion to lead
She's mine and that's me!
