But here's what the article won't tell you. The real reason they're staying? The workforce. You got people from Embry-Riddle spitting out engineers, plus Daytona State's advanced manufacturing program that's been turning out welders and techs for years. I know two guys who started at $22 an hour right out of that program at a place on Tomoka Farms Road. That's real money for this area.

And the housing market's been adjusting too. Used to be impossible for these workers to find affordable places near the industrial parks.
