THEME: FLAVOURS OF HOME
TITLE: AMALA AND GBEGIRI

The sweet aroma from where granny calls her base
Only God knows how much I anticipate for holidays
So I get to burrow my taste buds in her delicious food plate
The consistent yummy taste, Amala & Gbegiri

Amala, a product of yam flour
Specially prepared in hot boiling water
A brownish-black colour
Accompanied with a soft sticky texture

Gbegiri or shall I call it Abula
Granny's Bean soup with the distinct aroma
Wafting through my nostrils from a long distance
Making my stomach submit to hunger

Gbegiri, the combination of natural organic recipes
Palm oil, locust bean, salt, assorted meat and bean seeds
A mixture that gives sweet taste indeed
And gives no chance to bad critics

Amala & Gbegiri,
A special delicacy you all should try,
Especially during night time
A kitchen flavor you would judge a five out of five
