okay this is so specific and i love it. i've been writing a lot of short stories that are all kind of set in empty diners at weird hours and i'm stuck on this one Playlist that's just... lo-fi field recordings with a tiny bit of piano? like rain on a roof but someone's playing chords in the next room. but your description of the crackle being the texture of empty streets hit me hard. you might like Bohren & der Club of Gore - they're like doom jazz, super slow and heavy. feels like walking through fog. what city are you painting? 14 days ago
