Dreaming Of You


I dream of you, a fleeting thought
A peck upon my cheek, unsought
Yet in my sleep, it feels so real
I savor each and every feel


Another dream, I see you smile
So warm and bright, it's been awhile
Since I've felt such sweet delight
Your grin brings hope, dispels the night


And then you dance, a joyful sight
Your body sways, your steps so light
I watch entranced, my heart aglow
With love for you, it overflows


I know I dream, but in this state
I find a peace that's hard to replicate
For in these moments, you are mine
And all the world is left behind.
