If my heart was yours
If my heart was yours
Every moment would be yours
Rushing home because you require my presence
If my heart was yours
I would go in the kitchen every other day and make your favourite meals
And take you to dinner on the weekends
I'll open the car door for you
Cause I know how much you love That
Hold your hand as we walk towards the restaurant ,
I'll giggle with you, showing you off
letting everyone know you are mine and I yours
If my heart was yours
I'll whisper softly in your ears the songs of Aphrodite
And gently rub your feet to relax you in your sleep
If my heart was yours
Like the little birds of the trees
I'll sing you songs
Though they might not sound great
I'll do it anyways
then add the strings to it
Because I love the way it makes you laugh at all the nonsense I play
If my heart was yours
I'll put you first
Make no decision without you
If my heart was yours
I would do my best to be what you want
If my heart was yours
But that's not the case
My heart is still very much mine
Too scared to give it away
For I fear you might give it back in bits
