Mothers my mothers
I came and left because the mighty one called
Four callings made four life times
My coming was short so was my leaving
So I made four mothers
A mother in the East
A mother in the south
A mothers in the west
And a mother in the north
To the north mother I was joy and then I left leaving hope
To the East mother I was grace and then I left leaving desire
To the west mother I was pride and then I left leaving honour
To the south mother I was servitude and then I left leaving liberty
A nurse says she is motherless
I say I have four mothers
A mother in the north south west and a mother in the east
