📍Warri, Nigeria

If you're craving Chinese food in Warri, you don't have to break the bank or travel far. Over the years, a few spots have really stepped up their game, and I've been hitting them up regularly. Here's my honest take on where to get the best Chinese dishes in town.

First on my list is **Tasty Wok**, located right on **Effurun Roundabout**, opposite the popular **Echo's Fast Food**. This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves their fried rice with that authentic wok hei. Their **Sweet and Sour Chicken** is a must-try - it's not too sugary, and the chicken is always fresh, not frozen. The restaurant is small but clean, and the service is quick. I usually call in my order before going to the market at **Ugboroke** so I don't have to wait.

Next up is **Golden Dragon**, which you'll find along **Jakpa Road**, just a few minutes from **Warri City Hotel**. This is the go-to for families or group outings. Their **Special Fried Noodles** come with generous portions of prawns, chicken, and vegetables. I also love their **Spring Rolls** - they're crispy, not greasy. The downside? It gets packed on weekends, so go early or order ahead. If you're a fan of **Pepper Soup**, ask for their **Spicy Chicken Soup** - it's not on the main menu but they make it if you request.

For a quick lunch, there's **China Garden** by **Enerhen Junction**, near the **Shops of Nigercom**. Their **Chicken Chow Mein** is perfect for on-the-go. They also do a decent **Fried Rice with Assorted Meat** that's heavy on the egg and vegetables. It's a small spot, so don't expect fancy decor, but the food is solid and affordable.

If you want something a bit upscale, **Peking Restaurant** inside **The Palms Shopping Mall** on **Warri-Sapele Road** is worth checking out. Their **Szechuan Fried Rice** packs a spicy punch, and the **Beef in Black Bean Sauce** pairs perfectly with steamed rice. It's a bit pricier, but the ambiance is nice for a date or birthday treat.

Pro tip: Most of these places do delivery within Warri, especially on **Deco Road** and **PTI Road** areas. Cash is usually preferred, but some accept bank transfers. Also, don't forget to ask for their **Garlic Sauce** on the side - it makes a huge difference.

Anyone tried **Tasty Wok's** new **Kung Pao Chicken**? I heard it's spicy, but I'm skeptical after some bad experiences with "spicy" dishes that were just sweet sauces. Let me know your experiences below.

nah I actually tried the Kung Pao Chicken last week from Tasty Wok and it's legit spicy o, not that sweet nonsense. I was skeptical too after getting burned by 'spicy' before lol. their sweet and sour chicken is still my fav though, can't lie. gotta try that Golden Dragon spring rolls next time I'm around Jakpa
